Why One Punch Man Fans Can’t Afford to Miss the New Atomic Samurai Visual And What It Means for Season 3’s Release!

We got a fresh slice of artwork straight from J.C. Staff’s Hero Visual Project, and this time, it’s all about Atomic Samurai. You know, the guy who slices through enemies like butter, Earth’s strongest swordsman, and a member of the Hero Association’s elite Council of Swordmasters. If you’re not hyped yet, you better get there, because this new visual is fire.

Now, who’s behind this masterpiece? Ryosuke Shirokawa. You might know him as a key animator on SPY x FAMILY yeah, that’s right, the guy with the killer skills. He’s the one who brought Atomic Samurai to life in this jaw dropping illustration. It’s the seventh visual in the project, following some heavy hitters like Tatsumaki (aka Terrible Tornado), Silver Fang, Fubuki, Genos, and King. That’s right, the heavyweights are getting their spotlight, one by one.

But hold up. Before you get too excited, let’s talk about what everyone’s really waiting for, One Punch Man Season 3. Where the hell is it? J.C. Staff has been teasing us for two years now, and still, no premiere date. They dropped a teaser trailer six months ago, but we’re still in the dark. And with other shows locking in their October 2024 release dates, it’s starting to feel like we’re not gonna see Saitama punching dudes out of existence until 2025. Yeah, we said it 2025.

In case you forgot, J.C. Staff is the studio behind Season 2, picking up where Madhouse left off after Season 1. They’ve been grinding away at Season 3 since August 2022, and while we appreciate the hard work, fans are hungry for more.

Now, for those who might be new to the One Punch Man world, here’s a quick refresher. Saitama is the guy who can take down any opponent with you guessed it one punch. But this power comes with a price: it’s boring as hell. The lack of challenge makes the hero life a drag for him. He does the superhero thing for fun, but man, when you’re too strong, the thrill of the fight just dies.

If you can’t wait for the anime, go ahead and dive into the One Punch Man manga, which is licensed by Viz Media in the U.S. It’s based on the original webcomic by ONE and illustrated by Yusuke Murata, and it’s got all the action you need to hold you over until the anime drops.

So, here’s the deal. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for a 2024 premiere, but don’t hold your breath. It’s looking more and more like we’ll have to wait until 2025 to see Saitama back in action. Until then, enjoy these killer visuals, because that’s about all we’re getting for now.
